AIR DE RIEN, because it is not nothing all these small tunes in the air...
This double vinyl is shared - each one its face - by four musicians or groups who each traces in watermark an original line of conduct,
soft and harsh, off the beaten tracks.
A lot of purity in this project - and in these four achievements - in those times of useless filling. Music and visuals are discreet, a
fine black and white, like the engraving of this psychedelic pseudo-brain, connected to animalcules and mycelia that form networks, because
nothings assembled together make an enriched whole.
Dedicated to filmmaker Yasugiro Ozu who put the kanji mu,
meaning "Nothing", engraved on his stele.
Pascal Comelade takes us in a long version of his "Nothing
but U", aggregative, repetitive music, which goes up like
a tower, even a human tower of Catalan tradition (the castells).
Twenty continuous minutes of a catchy tune, a mixture of primitive
rock 'n' roll and additive/addictive music from the early
years of this musician outside the structures. Let yourself
be carried away by the breath, let yourself be moved in your
thoughts. Pataphysics being the science of imaginary solutions,
everything (that is to say nothing) is possible. Drawing :

Guigou Chenevier proposes his " Les rayures du zèbre n'ont
l'air de rien ": sound editing based on old recycled 7 inches
records, allowing tributes to emblematic musicians or people
who have marked their time. A rough sense of a tinker, a little
roborative, mechanical music which sometimes reminds of a
skeletal This Heat. Composed during the lockdown, as if the
isolation required scratches to invent useful presences. A
new style for Guigou Chenevier who knows how to renew himself
in this solo and intimate project.
Madame Patate and Klimperei: a simple duo presenting their
"Airs de travers". Both, beneath the appearance, are filled
with personalities in relief, which attach themselves like
hooks or velcro to create new links. Here, there are poetic
and enlightening songs of our daily life, rich of emotions
exposed in this oppressive context that was - and is - the
era of the early 2020s. For proof: a meeting in the undergrowth,
thoughts for the other, the body sometimes tangled, and rhymes
of laughter. A first for Madame Patate and Klimperei that
these unpublished tracks.

Toupidek limonade, the band with the false airs of DADA,
presents with " Longtemps je me suis couché de bonn'air "
- as usual - a music marked by two extremes: Erik Satie and
The Residents. Here, they are linearized compositions, like
aerial threads, atmospheric sometimes, surprising often. Elusive
moments where do not take themselves seriously, but who knows...:
the amusement, the humor are way as if nothing happens, when
all is important.
